Alan,

I saw this photo a couple of weeks ago when you posted it on AstroMart.  It looks just as good the second time around.

It is one of those remarkable picts that comes along so rarely.  Good work!

Hi -

I've added a saturn image to the planets folder and a couple of recent solar images that were captured using Astro II DC using a variety of different firewire webcams. The saturn image uses the new DMK 21BF04 by the Imaging Source for luminance info and a Unibrain 400i camera for the color info. The scope is a 10" mak/cassegrain. The prominance image was also captured with using the DMK camera and a 5" refractor. The mosaic uses the Unibrain fire-i board camera (housed in an altoids tin!) and was a mosaic of 9 images taken with a 4" refractor.

I have been very excited to have Astro II DC available for Mac - it is a powerful tool and I think we will see lots of fantastic images as more people have the chance to use it. Keith's Image Stacker and Photoshop were used in the processing of these images.
