I'd really doubt that - as they would be undercutting Unibrain. I know 

for a fact that he Color CCD alone for them costs $20 - $25 USD 

(depends on volume), so I'm guessing those cameras are probably being 

discontinued.

I'm not sure my thought was understood here.  What I envision is something like a 

subcontract from Unibrain to Aplux to supplement Fire-i production and allowing them to 

put their name on the box.  Like Plymouth making full-size vans many years back when 

the Dodge assembly line couldn't keep up with demand.

...though it's perhaps hard to imagine the demand for firewire webcams being all that 

great...

few days.
