Subject: Re: home made adapter

Sorry, one more follow-up.  Just ran down to our machine shop to

measure the (packaged) Fire-i lens mount.  It's M10x1.0 (1.0 cm O.D.,

1/mm thread pitch).  I've shot an email off to Steven Mogg to see if

he can machine an adapter for that conveniently.  Will post when I get

a reply.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to confirm that the packaged unibrain fire-i with case (as

opposed to the board camera version) does have a nonstandard lens

mount, NOT M12x0.5.  I've had to fashion my own adapter as well, as

the Mogg UWAL-F does not fit.

He's wrong and yes it does fit. The thread is precisely M12 x 0.5

(I

measured it and Canada is Metric). Also the engineering and

manufacturing diagrams from Unibrain clearly state they use an

M12x0.5m. Also on the Unibrain website

Thanks Milton.  So I guess I will go ahead and order his longest

M12x0.5 adapter.
