Makes sense. You've got to like those security gurus. No offense to any security gurus

out

there. I would prefer progressive cameras for that application; less motion distortion. Of

course, these are the people that made us pull out all of our wireless networks the other

day due to a fear of someone putting up 3 foot parabolic antenna in the cemetery across

from our building so they could steal the signal from inside our Faraday cage so I am

not

really high on security gurus right now.

I pointed out that I was more afraid that the security people wouldn't notice people

putting

up a 3 foot parabolic antenna than I was of someone stealing the wireless signal. Didn't

go

over too well.

So, the "M" in the SX camera name still stands for interlaced ccds, apparently?  I've never

used one or seen one being used on planets, but I can imagine it would have been

extremely frustrating.  At least with the 3com, I can "turn it off" by going with a lower

quality setting (which was comparable to the quality from the ToUcam, though with slower

downloads).  Maybe that's why I liked the HX5 so much.  Does Terry Platt still use Star

2000 with the M cameras?  or has it been necessary anymore with the SXV guider cameras

now available?

Sorry for the OT stuff,
