LO - cool indeed :)

I like the ingenuity on the design of the 'chernobyl protection' with the rubber bands.

The other thing Is I need a strapping that won't conduct heat either, which is why I shied away from any form of wire. And I want it reasonably flexible so I could reconfigure it and try it on another camera too, like some of the Imaging Source Cameras.

Too bad you have to cool the entire camera.  If there were some way to just cool the image sensor chip, you could use a MUCH smaller Peltier cooler.

There's no space in the Flea design for that, it's only 1.25" by 1.2" by 1.2" inches in a packed cube (neat multi board stacked design though - similar to some of the Pulnix cameras I've worked with)). However the Extended Form Dragon Fly camera could easily be done that way, as the CCD is on a 6" cable away form the main electronics. You'd have to check with PGR to make sure, but you may be able to drill or cut through the PCB and expose the back of the CCD too.

You should take some dark frames with the setup and post the results.

Eventually i will. I hope to play with it a little bit on vacation (which starts middle of next week). However it's sort of moot too, because we are in a cold snap and it gets down to 4 centigrade / 39 F here at night and our day time high her was 13 Centigrade / 55 F. Two weeks ago we were in the 90's during the day time.
