Hi Mike;

Glad it's working for you and thanks for the compliment on Astro IIDC.

Nice image for a smaller scope (of course my scope is only 5.1" aperture so I know what small measn) and I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more detail as we get closer to the November 1st  opposition.

I find it interesting that the upper left limb area is a lot brighter than I was expecting. And not to offend, but to my eyes with this monitor it's a bit yellow - but that can be corrected post software by adding a little bit more blue color channel  and decreasing the green color channel to the image.

Keep them coming..

Hi All,

I have been following with keen interest the informative postings and

excellent photos here since the Group began.  Although I have taken

lunar and planetary images with firewire webcams for almost 3 years

with some success and  much enjoyment,  I have only recently began

to use the Astro IIDC software for capture.  I have placed a photo of

Mars taken with My 7" Maksutov using version 1.00  on August 3, 2005

in the files section.

Today I downloaded Version 2.02.00.  Hopefully the weather will clear

soon so I can try it out.

Thanks Milt for writing this well made MAC software and maintaining

a great discussion site.
