"Automatically detect and replace hot or cold pixels."
item in the the Preferences window too when doing long exposures. It
will remove the really obvious ones.

Astro IIDC can do 2x2 binning in software for both color or
monochrome
cameras, which would have amplified it by 4x times. It's under the
"Camera Display Format" menu in the controls window.
