Subject: M01, M27 and M57 Reprocessed

Hi Folks;

I recalibrated my G5's CRT monitor so that it's much more in synch

with my Laptops and LCD G4 desktop Macs - and hopefully everyone elses

too. It was a lot darker / contrasty than the others Macs were, so

noise and other image artifacts were being hidden.

After that, I re-processed the original DSO M01, M27 and M57 images

using 16 bit per color channel Log curve stretching and levels in

Astro IIDC 2.10 alpha to remove the noise and eliminate sporadic hot

pixels caused by over amplifying the images to bring out fine details.

I also re-balanced the colors in M1, so that the red cast is

completely removed and it's more a "natural" (???) greenish-white.

TTYL..
