Hi Tim -
Great work on these! and congratulation on your new camera.
I opened the files in Photoshop and tweaked the curves and colors a bit - attached this variation to this email. Hope you don't mind the tampering - let me know if you think it offers any improvement.
Looking forward to seeing more from you and your flea...
best,
Alan

Hi folks:
I just uploaded a new file to the planetary photos area.
It's my first series of Mars images taken with my Point Grey Research Flea color camera.
This camera is so much more sensitive to low light than my old Aplux camera. The pixels are
quite a bit larger (7.4microns as opposed to 5.6), and the chip is about 4 years newer, so it's
not surprising, I suppose.
I was able to use a Televue 5x Powermate barlow for this projection.
Seeing was just a little better than a few nights before, but still "average" with fast turbulence
blurring detail but not quite "warping" the planet's disk out of shape.
I'm out of town for a couple days, but can't wait to get back to it and try again.
best,
-Tim.
