Thanks Tim and Milton,

That does blow me away that the filter wheel comes with filters at that price. I don't need a

powered one, my fingers work pretty well (of course when winter rolls in they might not).

I already picked up the unibrain board camera (color) and I'll probably keep that around

because it will have a place in my arsenal (sometimes I'm lazier than others), but I'll also

get a good mono FW camera (cause I'm picky). It's tough being picky and lazy :)

Thanks for the summary.

I think Milton has pointed out that Apogee-Inc has a manual filter

wheel for around 90

bucks (probably without filters?).

Just to clarify, that $90 price includes R, G and B filters and one

empty filter slot (for an IR filter?)

If your interested on transmission or properties of the filters, ask

them about it.

And no, I don't get anything from them for this "plug" either . None

any of the camera companies that I recommend give me anything either

and if they lend me a camera, I pay shipping, all customs charges and

all the crappy paperwork for Revenue Canada, IRS, Homeland Security

etc. both ways.
