Subject: mars with dust storm

Hi All -

I've uploaded a mars image from this morning showing the progression of the dust storm 

captured in Duane's image from a day earlier.

This image was captured using my 10" mak at f30 (I normally use f45 for planetary images 

with the mak) because the seeing was quite poor. At this magnification the disk and 

features showed better contrast than at the larger size - Astro IIDC had a very easy time 

with the smaller planetary disk, allowing me to complete the image and get it posted to 

ALPO and other forums much faster than with my usual slow hand selection routine.  

Unsharp masking and combination into a color image was done in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
