Subject: Re: Grid Pattern

Hi Folks;

Just for closures sake, Duane and I sorted the Grid Pattern problem out.

Basically the problem was the Saturation setting being at 23. It

should really be left at between 30 and 34 and not moved outside that

range.

Although I had originally considered removing Saturation altogether,

being able to adjust it allows you to compensate for differences in

low end cameras (only those cameras have Saturation). If I had hard

coded it at say 32 (which is the best value with the Unibrain cameras

I have here), then the pattern might be still be visible for another

camera and maybe it really needs to be at say 33 or 30. This way at

least you can change it to compensate.

So if your using one of the lowere cost IIDC Color Cameras (ADS Pyro,

iBot, APLux, Unibrain) etc., then set the Saturation at 30 to 34 and

you waon't have hsi problem at all.

Hope That Helps..

PS: This might also explain what is happenign with the monochrome

Unibrain cameras too - I'll have to investiagte to see if the TSLV1501

chip is doing saturation processing for monochrome images.
