Great capture!
I experimented with this one night but didn't expose long enough.
30 second exposures with the DMK and my 10" record stars down to about 19th magnitude.
best,
Alan

Hi,
I thought some of you guys might be interested in this image of Phobos and Deimos.
Taken with a 9.25" SCT, and a DMK 21BF04 firewire camera in its prime focus. Seeing was
horrible, so instead of trying to capture surface detail on Mars, I gave this a shot... I was
surprised how "easy" it was to capture the two little moons, the DMK camera was binned
2x2, exposures were 1/4 second each, about 200 images stacked. The 21BF04 is a very
sensitive camera, which continues to amaze me.

The image of Mars was exposed separately and inserted into the overexposed region for
scale purposes.
