Interesting idea.

What is the opinion of the color version of the DFK 21BF04? ( I am using the DMK

21BF04 )?

I assume its sensitivity is pretty good mostly what I loose is some resolution from the

bayer.

Duane:

I don't know about those cameras myself, but the color version is probably about half as

sensitive as the monochrome, in addition to being something approaching half the

resolution.

Another thought, that I've been contemplating, is keeping the monochrome version and

adding a color camera, using something like a flip mirror to switch rapidly between the

two, and then using the monochrome camera for luminance and the color for RGB.  I

may

try that, as I already have a color Flea, and am thinking about purchasing a monochrome

one.
