I hope my post above (probably about the same time you were posting) made it clear that I

use (and prefer to use) the stacking in Astro IIDC.

It might be "nice" perhaps to have an active "registax-like" or "Astrostack-like" display

running while the alignment and stacking is proceeding, but I don't think it's a show-

stopper by any means.  I find that I can make adjustments in the percent value and the

length of the video (sometimes I get better results with 4000-frame videos, but mostly

when the seeing isn't so good), and turn the results around quickly enough to adjust the

way I acquire the next video.

I stand by my previous comment.  I'd prefer to do it all within Astro IIDC.  Only other

software I use now is Canvas X, and that's for rotating the images and formatting and

annotating the "page" for posting the results.

Thanks for a great (and getting greater!) program!

Hi Tim;

I meant to say - "Stop development of the Stacking Aspect". If people

feel that it's of no use to them - then there is no point in working

anymore on it.

It's the same with the Remote Hardware Trigger. There are hordes of

things I can do with that for Machine Vision, but since no one is

using it there isn't any point in doing it.

So basically I'm looking to prioritize where I spend my time. God

knows I have my hand full with rewriting all the code because Apple

is deprecating almost everything these days, as well as having to

deal with all the performance losses this causes (150% drop switching

to CoreGraphics over 20 year old QuickDraw)  and that's on top of

the  200% performance hit we (ultimately you guys) take with using

XCode as the compiler instead of CodeWarrior.

So if people aren't using an aspect, say so and I can move on to

other aspects that make it a better product. No point in wasting time

with something no one wants.
