Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] File Error

Hi David;

You haven't really done anything wrong, it's a limitation buy Apple.

The -37 error means the source movie file name is too long, which results in the generated file name being too long to create an fsspec with from QuickTime.

So if you shorten the source movies name (less than 29 characters) then it can create the resulting stacked file from it.

This has been addressed in the next Alpha as I re-wrote all the file IO code to use FSRefs and DataRefs (and are a complete kludge to work with from a developers perspective) which have a maximum file name length of 255 characters.

HTH..

Where have I gone wrong!?
