Yep, I remember that site.  Looks like some updates coming along soon, too.  Problem is

that the prices are looking comparable to another low-end camera.

Which gets you what - another low end camera for around $90USD?

And since I'm all

thumbs with electronics, I will probably opt for a camera that could do the trick (but it

might be fun to try building one of the boards,...).  PC only?  Looks like it.

I guess were having a "reading comprehension" problem?

Where in my post did it say anything about a PC being needed?

1) Buy "Main board assembled and tested" Serial Port Board for 75 Euros

2) Attach board to Mac using KeySpan USB to Serial Converter.

3) Attach 4 pins with wire to Auto Guider port Pin Outs.

4) Guide with it.

And since your all thumbs for electronics, you can probably ask the guy to make you a cable with proper connectors for a fee. For $40 CDN, I can call up an electronics shop in Calgary send them a pinout of what I want and they will build it the same day.

Also, you should be able to use the above with Equinox too.

I took my 3com apart for the lens mount for the Aplux, but didn't end up using it, so I

could put that back together.  It can shoot up to 1/4 second.  I can also try the Aplux

again, but I don't remember it finding anything but the very brightest stars.

That's odd. Using a 50 mm aperture / 600 mm focal length guide scope, I could pick out 6th mag star for guiding on in down town light polluted calgary using a Unibrain Monochrome camera.

At least the

webcams could be used with Equinox to guide off the Mac, which is what I'd prefer.

Then use Equinox, but you'll never get any longer exposures with it using IOXperts or anyone elses Mac drivers.

And Raoul is having zero problems with 10 to 45 minute guided shots using SkySensor2000 (in LX200 emulation mode) and a Vixen mount. Even under turbulent conditions he's getting +/-0.5 pixels tracking accuracy.

My PC

is getting old (4 years), and I'd rather not get another one when it gives up the ghost.

Why do you keep dragging PC's into this?

Perplexed..
