Jon:
I don't have firsthand info on the Imaging Source cameras, but I'd be surprised if there
wasn't enough power from the mini's port to run the camera.
A while ago, before I decided on a laptop, I considered buying a mini, a wireless keyboard,
and a compact high-resolution LCD monitor. The monitor turned out to be the show-
stopper to my plans. Everyone wants large, high resolution monitors for low prices, so
small ones aren't readily available (or at least I couldn't find any), and aren't inexpensive.
It turned out not to be economical for me to go that route, so I bought a 14" powerbook
instead.
I'm still considering buying a mini to run wirelessly from the laptop, though. Kind of like
what Jeff Terry does with his setup (author of iCCD software). That way, I wouldn't need a
keyboard or monitor attached to the box, and the cables from the mount and cameras
could all be attached to the mini at the mount.

Hi Folks:
Just a couple of last questions before I switch over to a Mac system for
imaging: 1) With the 21AF04 camera Milton suggested, will the
firewire port of the Mac mini provide enough power or will it need a
separate hub and 2)since I'm using the mini as a laptop system, I'm
still going to need a lightweight LCD monitor for field use- suggestions?
Thanks again. I hope to have a system setup within the next month or so.
