Hi Milton,

Hi Jon;

(snip)

As Alan and Tim suggested, you  might want to look at maybe an iBook

or PowerBook, as once you factor in the cost of the mini with LCD and

fun of lugging them around and reliance on AC power.

One other thing to look at is Apple sells refurbished products too,

which are price reduced.

They list 12" or 15" 1.5 gighz PowerBooks for $1099 USD (regular

$1499) and $1399.00 (regular $1699.00) respectively and come with a 1

year warranty. They didn't have any iBooks listed though.

The more I look at it, the more appealing it is.  I may just go ahead

and buy the PowerBook.  I'm reading about some problems anyway with

Macmini hard drive upgrade and other difficulties, plus adding all the

extras as you and others mentioned.  I see you mentioning that they

didn't have any iBooks listed... being Mac "illiterate", may I ask

what the difference is between a PowerBook and iBook?

Sorry about my "illiteracy".

Jon

Hope That Helps..
