Hi Milton,

Thanks for the update.  I know it would be a huge undertaking, and

you definitely clarified where you are headed.

It's not just us. If Apple doens't show that it is supporting

FireWire, we can build it and no one can use it. So Apple has to give

us and other developers some assurances or we are not going to do it.

I've been a Mac Developer for 21 years now and the only sure thing I

know about Apple is that they do whatever the hell they want and you

can not rely on them for stability. So you re-write your code from

scratch every 5 years as Apple has another "brain fart" and we start

over agains. That's why their market share is now below 3% - what

developer wants to put up with it when you have a stable WinTel

platform with 30 to 50 times as many users? Also with MacIntel Apple

is now writing off about 50% of their customer base who need Classic

support and can't move forward as their are no replacements for their

software.

Lastly, if people were plannign on buying PPC PowerBooks, iBooks, Mac

Minis etc., do it REAL SOON as Apple is running out of available

stock, and when they do their gone forever.

Have a nice weekend..
