Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Enable CCD overdrive

Hi Jim;

There are certain registers in the TI TSB15LV01 for the inexpensive IIDC cameras that can be adjusted. I've spent some time fiddling with them  to improve brightness. They interact with each other and this makes it really tricky because if you do it wrong, the camera display goes black until you restore the registers to their origins.

However this does have a cost as it increases noise levels (especially the edge "step" noise on the left hand side of the image which is EM-Coupling)  and changes the color balance too.

HTH..

Milton,

Was wondering if you could elaborate on what is going on  when you enable the CCD

overdrive in the preferences and boost sensitivity by 30%.

Thanks,

Jim
