Subject: Jupiter With second exposure to add moons

Hay, I finally got out to image Jupiter. Couldn't sleep this morning anyway...

This was Unibrain on 8"LX200.

I exposed once for Jupiter and once for the moons and then combined them.

Moons are:

Far left—IO

Second from left—Ganymede (casting a shadow on the North Polar Region)

Upper Right—Europa

Lower Right, faint—Callisto

The spot was just coming around but I couldn't see it yet. I would have kept shooting but my

laptop battery died and I didn't want to drag cables out :(

I flipped the image to orient with how it would look through binoculars (correct). How do

most pros handle this? Most shots I've seen of Mars have been left South up. It just seems

more normal to have North up. Any opinions on this?
