Hi Tim;

I've been so impressed with my color Flea that I'm pretty sure I'm

going to order the B&W Scorpion soon.  I might even go crazy and get

one of the 1600x1200 color Scorpions to experiment with deep sky

imaging, but that's going to be down the road a bit.

You might really consider adding the Peltier Cooler Rig I made (see Cooled_Flea_Front.jpg  in the Files -> Other folder). The parts cost around $50 CDN and it doesn't require any special skills, except maybe using a cordless drill, a screw driver and some electricians tape. I've been using it a lot lately and it really helps decrease noise. But it won't be much use if your in a humid environment which luckily is not Calgary. Last week we were at 32°C / 90°F with humidity as low as 13%. Sweat doesn't even get to "bead" on you - it just evaporates into the air.

Well, I'm still here at work, and need to take some time off this week

to get ready for RTMC, where I will have my Flea and other cameras all

set up on my Tak NJP mount with a few scopes...

Cool. I wish I was going but it's a long drive, gas is expensive (we pay about $4.30 CDN / 3.80 USD per US gallon up here) and crossing the US / Canadian Border is no longer a fun experience.

Walter Lickteig is giving a presentation on Astro IIDC 3.0 at RTMC, so you and others might want to check it out. Hopefully Walter can fill us all in on where and when his presentation is at.

TTYL..
