I've been waiting to see your latest Jupiter.  It certainly was worth the wait!  Crisp details, smooth overall appearance, good color variations, sharp moon shadow, and no detectable processing artifacts.....  other than that it looks like my image.  It is interesting to compare images taken at similar times and note the differences produced by the optical systems, atmospheric conditions, and processing techniques.  At the time your image was taken, I was imaging with a 3.5" Mak.  Big difference!


Milton's Astro IIDC program, the DMK camera and good seeing this year has made a huge improvement in my images.  Of course a 10" AP scope might help too.
