Subject: Jupiter in average seeing, 6" Jaegers

Hi folks!

Long time no hear from me - seeing has been lousy most of the time, when the sky has been

visible at all!

I decided to try imaging Jupiter through the Jaegers, knowing it doesn't do well in color but

very well in green monochrome.

I've uploaded a stack of 2030 images out of a 4000 frame video shot through the Color Flea

in green monochrome mode (2006-06-22_TJP_Jup.jpg in the files/planetary area)

I also experimented with shooting red and blue monochrome, to see if by refocusing I could

get decent RGB images to combine later.  Doesn't work with that lens, though.  The red

channel is okay, but the blue channel can't be focused better than a blurry blob.

I have a contrast booster filter, but I didn't use it, wanting instead to experiment with the

color on-chip filters.

best,

-Tim.
