Subject: solar eyebrow


I brought a 4" refractor on vacation and no cameras (it was a vacation, after all...) and had 

a few opportunities to observe that big sunspot and a beautiful low gibbous moon from 

Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire.


Here is an image I put together before leaving town at the end of June. The full disk was a 

9 panel mosaic - all were processed in Astro IIDC using three alignment positions per 

640x480 frame. This is about 50% of original size:
