Nice image.  I keep forgetting that with IIDC I can explore limited exposures and DSO work.  Will have to try it sometime.  Your experience with the beetle reminds me of my nightly one with mosquitos.  I basically live next to swamps so they are horrendous on most summer nights.  100% deet, jacket, pants, hat and gloves are always the routine during the summer months here.

Hi Folks;

I'm on vacation at a very dark site and grabbed this 5 minute exposure
of M13. I wanted to grab more data, however the humidity fogged the
optics so I only got 45 minutes worth. Also it appears that this was
the mating night for some type of winged water beetle and they covered
my keyboard and display on the laptop - as well as my glasses and hair
too in their "frenzy".

Details on the image (exposure, scope, seeing and other info) are
embedded in the image.

TTYL..
