Hi Eric;

Thanks for the kind words. Astro IIDC is pretty good for doing variety

of imaging tasks.

Speaking of bugs. When I was a mining geologist working north of the

arctic circle, we used to wake up some mornings and it sounded like it

was raining on the tent and looked like it was dark and overcast

outside. Of course when I opened the tent flaps and had a look out, it

was sunny and what was causing the pitter pat noise and the darkness

was black flies and mosquitos covering the tent and trying to get in

at use. 100% DEET was useless (I think the black flies liked it as

meat tenderizer) and the only thing you could do was wear a headnet,

tie off your shirt sleeves with tape and tuck your pant cuffs in your

socks. Of course we had a heatwave one year and it was 85+°F during

the day and being north of 65 latitude, we had 100% daylight for at

least a month, so weraing mutiple layers of clothing while doing 25+

miles per day of tundra walking was just a "joy".

Nice image.  I keep forgetting that with IIDC I can explore limited

exposures and DSO work.  Will have to try it sometime.  Your

experience with the beetle reminds me of my nightly one with

mosquitos.  I basically live next to swamps so they are horrendous on

most summer nights.  100% deet, jacket, pants, hat and gloves are

always the routine during the summer months here.
