Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] M13 Image

Hi Milton -

Nice M13! I had a good time last summer at the Black Forest Star Party trying the webcam on deep sky targets. I never take the time at home to get good enough polar alignment for long exposures with my Mak at 3.6 meter FL. The 30 sec. max for the DMK became a frustration, though.

Was this a single 5 minute exposure? - the tracking looks very good.

cheers-

Alan

Hi Folks;

I'm on vacation at a very dark site and grabbed this 5 minute exposure

of M13. I wanted to grab more data, however the humidity fogged the

optics so I only got 45 minutes worth. Also it appears that this was

the mating night for some type of winged water beetle and they covered

my keyboard and display on the laptop - as well as my glasses and hair

too in their "frenzy".

Details on the image (exposure, scope, seeing and other info) are

embedded in the image.

TTYL..
