Thank you.

I saw your marvellous image of Jupiter of the 15 June, but at the time

I thought it showed that I hadn't captured oval BA. I had assumed that

on my image oval BA was above and to the right of GRS, at about 1

o'clock in relation to GRS. Which from your image obviously isn't the

case, even allowing for the 180 degrees difference.

It's only now on closer inspection, flipping your image 180 and adding

a good deal of blur that I can now just make out oval BA below and to

the left (Alan is that what you meant?) on my image at just about 7 to

8 o'clock in relation to GRS.

I hope that makes sense.

Cal,

That is a good first image.  I don't think I could recognize my first

image of Jupiter as Jupiter.  I shot an image on the 15th of June

that compares well with yours, except for the transit.  By flipping

my image 180 and reducing the size, I could easily identify many

features you captured.

Looking forward to seeing more images from you.

Hi Alan

Thank you for your kinds words and feedback, it's greatly appreciate

and immensely helpful.

I am really pleased with the image, all things considered. I wasn't

sure if that was oval BA, I spent the following couple of weeks

looking for images of Jupiter from the same day to confirm it. I never

did, so I'm glad you mentioned it.

With a lot more practice and a little bit of luck I may be able to

take images half as good as yours.
