I also sent a query on this white screen issue to my german contact  

at The Imaging Source. That is the third TIS camera I've seen that  

had this problem, so it isn't common but I'd like to know why it's  

happening. From chasing it with another customer, I know that the  

camera is not transmitting any video data when this happens and not a  

single packet of data arrives over the FireWire bus. Various thing sI  

tried remotely made no difference.


My guess is that something is not being set correctly in the camera's  

firmware when it's powered up and they are somehow correcting it in  

their own software afterwards.
