Subject: Astro IIDC 3.01.00 Beta 7 Available

Hi Folks;

I've made a huge number of changes to Astro IIDC 3.01.00 over the past

few months and I think were close to a final release candidate. My

beta testers are not turning up new bugs, so I thought I'd open it up

and let other people try it out to see if I've missed anything.

So you can download the 3.01.00 Beta 7 (452 kilobytes) at

http://www.outcastsoft.com/AstroIIDC030100B7.zip

and then read all about the changes that were made in the "Astro IIDC

3.01 Changes list.rtfd" file. The documentation for the Help manual is

ongoing and there is no Help pdf in this version (which is why it's a

452 kilobyte download).

Please do not report problems back to the Yahoo list and simply e-mail

a description of what is happening to us at our normal support e-mail

address of "support(at)outcastsoft(dot)com".

Also please keep a copy of the official 3.00.01 release version around

just in case the new version breaks anything, especially if your off

to some at some remote location without web access to download it.

Here are the main new features.

- Format 7 support, so that cameras that only supported Format 7

monochrome or bayer video are now compatible and supported.

- ROI (Region of Interest) support for selectively setting what

portion of the CCD to image from.

- Adds recognition for PGR Flea 2 (1394b), Dragon Fly 2 (1394b) and

FireFly MV cameras.

- Adds support for TIS 21AF04, DFK 21BF04, DFK 31AF03, DFK 31BF03, DFK

41AF02 and DFK 41BF02 cameras as bayer color cameras.

- Fixes issues with 1394B 800 and 1600 mbps cameras to allow full

frame rate delivery at up to 240 fps while recording.

- Live hot and cold pixel replacement for noisy CCD / CMOS sensor's.

- Add 4x4 binning providing 16 times more light gathering primarily

for live guiding or imaging.

- Improved Declination calibration for much better  guiding with Meade

LX commands and GPUSB.

- Re-wrote Image Processing Module to use a spatially dependent

sharpening method.

- Added RGB Saturation control to Image Processing Module.

- Re-wrote Stacking and Aligning module to handle none thread safe

codecs (many Apple codecs are not thread safe) by switching to

cooperative threads for them.

- A tonne of small fixes, minor improvements and bug stomped.

Thanks in advance..
