Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Uranus and 3 moons

Hi Milton,

Never mind about Uranus what about getting the Astro IIDC/Image Source cameras/PPC Macs issue sorted out :o]

Only joking but have you had any luck with this yet?

Hi folks;

I bought a C8 OTA earlier this month and finally have had some clearer
skies to try it out. Since all the bright planets are gone, I tried
shooting Uranus on October 22.

I imaged Uranus at 7.5 frames per second and then the moons were shot
in 2x2 binned color mode with 10 second exposures. I stacked the
Uranus shots using Astro IIDC's 4x scale and stack method and then
scaled them into proper size and location in the composite. Two other
Moons were lost in the glare of Uranus.

Turbulence was pretty bad and even shooting at 2,000 mm focal length
was pushing.

TTYl..
