Hi Milton,

It was just that Arne said he was getting you to test the Firmware on a PPC Mac. BTW I hope you didn't take my message as rude it's just sense of humour. When do you think I can consider buying the DMK 21AF04 the money is burning a hole in my pocket!

Hi Milton,

Never mind about Uranus what about getting the Astro IIDC/Image Source cameras/PPC Macs issue sorted out :o]

It's actually not a AstroIIDC or OS X  issue. It's strictly an Imaging Source Camera issue.

Only joking but have you had any luck with this yet?

Partial success.

The last firmware loader I received worked on the MacIntel and uploaded new firmware. However that firmware did not solve the no video problem. An earlier load of firmware did solve the no video problem, but introduced other issues that have to be addressed.

On the PowerPC side, the firmware loader finally worked (i.e. it uploaded the firmware), but the camera is no longer operative. So something likely got messed up endian wise and the camera is no longer a camera as the ConFigRom is hosed. I likely I'll have to send it back to TIS and then they will likely have to re-load the initial code.

I've sent Arne some information so that he can do the tests from his MacIntel x86 in Rosetta PowerPC emulation.  That way he can hopefully continue to do the tests in Germany while I wait for a replacement camera.

HTH..
