It was definitely an experience!!  Just before first and second contact, my G4 Powerbook 

overheated, locked up, and then crashed.  I had it in a box with a shade cloth so I could see 

the screen.  I have used this setup before, but I got busy "watching" the white light version 

and forgot to uncover the box while I was waiting for first contact.

So I had to let it cool down for a couple of minutes before rebooting...
