In the Preferences for Astro IIDC (see page 43 of the manual for details), is a check box that will have Astro IIDC prompt you to enter a note on the image or movies you just took. Your entry will be added in the log file for each movie and that makes it easier to identify which one was what color filter.

The settings and your notes you used for every image or movie you took are saved in a session log text file (i.e something like "20060811_060342_U.txt" which is YYYMMDD_HHMMSS when the recording started).

I'll upload my efforts to the photos section for you to see.

Great, it will be interesting to see what you've come up with.

However please upload to the appropriate folder (i.e Luna, Solar, DSO, Planetary etc.) in the files section. The problem with uploading in the Photo section is Yahoo scales them down to a small size which in many cases doesn't give a good representation of the what the image is, so just upload you JPEG files their.

On a side note, a great free-ware application for cropping, re-compressing and manipulating images is "Goldberg":

It's especially useful for compressing 16 bit tiff's to JPEG, because Apple's "Preview.app" won't do it directly.
