Thanks again. I'm going to get this stuff ordered. I had two great, stabile nights in a row.

Even Sirius was flicker-less. I hope I get a few nights like this when the camera arrives.

Thanks Milton. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get one of

these two cameras. I

have some simple questions before I order.

My existing 1.25" adaptor that I used with the Fire-i board camera

has threading on it. Will

Either one of the two you recommended work with that same adaptor?

It won't fit on the Imaging Source cameras.

The Fire-I board camera uses a M12x0.5mm thread. The two I

recommended use a C-Mount (which is roughly 22.5 mm in diameter).

The adapter you want is like this:

Item # STC125 "C Mount for Video Cameras"

What is the difference between the two you recommended? One says

Color and one says

Bayer ( I thought all color cameras used a bayer filter... shows

what I know). I will get

whichever you recommend. Is one more light sensitive than the other?

They are identical cameras as far as the CCD and features go. Both

have a bayer color filter over the CCD.

The DFK camera delivers Bayer Video and YUV422 video. The DBK

delivers just Bayer video.

So you'd be better off getting the DFK as you could also the YUV

format with another application or with Apple's drivers, which don't'

handle Bayer video. It gives you more options and your not losing

anything.
