Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] New image of Saturn from Ray
Hi Alan,
Just thinking things through I've realised that the Red filter in my wheel is a Wratten 25 without UV/IR block. I did this because I thought it might act like a IR pass filter that I've used on the moon and initially intended to use the Red component as the Luminance (I'd read about it somewhere), I had forgotten I'd done this. I'm going to try replacing the no.25 filter with the Astronmik UV/IR blocked filter (the other filters are from the Astronomik set apart from the clear UV/IR blocking filter I previously used with my ToUcam)

HI Ray -
Nice sharpness and detail. Are you shooting an RGB component with filters? The image looks like a tinted grayscale on my monitor.

Hi Group,
I've uploaded a new image of Saturn. It was taken early Sunday morning 12.17.06. Slightly
improved seeing and perhaps a better handle on what I was doing. Let me know what you
think.
