Beautiful.

I'm back to my webcam and Astro IIDC after several months with a deep-space camera.

Anyway, I want to shoot the different phases of the moon.

Any tips on getting the moon to fit in the field of view? I am using a Celestron 9.25 prime

focus with Unibrain webcam. The pics I am getting are too tight.

thanks!

Hi Folks;

I shot this last friday in the brief 2 days of clear skies that we've

had this month.

The moon was barely visible because of the overhanging balcony and I

could not see it at all in the finder scope. However there was

virtually no turbulence for 45 minutes except for brief little

"pockets" where the moon basically turned into a white "blob". I

managed to capture  my highest resolution color lunar images to date.

On the original tiff you can make out crater down to 2 to 1.5 km across.

TTYL..
