Jim,

The blue channel seems to be the culprit.  I substituted a blue channel from one of my images for your blue channel and the planet colors were more in line and adjustable.  I would start there by changing filters and making sure that you're using an IR blocking filter, not just a clear one...it could happen!  My filter set came with a clear "filter" for maintaining focus and is hard to distinguish from the IR except that the IR has a pinkish reflection when viewed at an angle.

It won't be long before you are pleased with colors, I'm sure.

Something seems odd about the individual color channels. Saturn is
sort of yellowish brown with whitish rings so, relative to the rings
the planet should be brightest in the red, less bright in the green,
and darkest in the blue. Your green channel doesn't have much
contrast, and I would think the planet would be about as contrasty in
green as red. Also, the blue channel has the planet brighter than the
rings, so I still strongly suspect that IR is getting through to the
CCD. The luminance image is nice, though it could probably be
brightened a bit without saturating.
