They looks really impressive as they are moving up to 14 bit AD

converter (meaning better S/N and wider dynamic range) and larger

sizes (up to 5 MegaPixel 2456 by 2056) with 0.55 to 0.67 inch CCD's.

It will be interesting to see what pricing is like on them.

On the lower cost front, the CMOS FireFly MV models (less than $200

USD) are also looking interesting too, and are available in color or

monochrome models too.
