Luminance layer from the R+G instead of a straight RGB?
No real secrets - just a lot of grunt work on this. It helps to choose the right focal
length - I used to much for this image (it's reduced in the final version) and had
very grainy data to work with. It is a BIG advantage for image sharpness to make a
luminance layer that excludes the horrible blue data. When I have a minute I will
post some color breakouts that should help to show this.
