Jeff;

With PHD Guiding and a Unibrain camera the longest exposure is 1/30th of a second using Apple's, MCam or IOXperts drivers. So you basically can't guide off a star any brighter than 3 to 4th magnitude with an 80 mm guide scope. Also it says on the PHD site that it has not been tested or used on OSX 10.3.9, so how well it works is unknown. But it is "free".

Astro IIDC allows up to 1 second exposures and can bin the images too as well as do the guiding.

Is there any cheap autoguiding

great but I need to send guide commands to my CG-5 mount.
