I have a Nexstar 9.25 GPS, which is pretty similar to the 11".  It's

great for planetary imaging with astro IIDC.  I have 2 Point Grey

cameras - a 640x480 color Flea and a 1032x776 color Flea2.  I also

have a Shoestring Astronomy GPUSB adapter that allows me to guide with

one flea while imaging with the other.  Works fabulously.

The Celestron SCTs are also pretty good DSO imagers, particularly with

a focal reducer.  If the camera is small enough (like the fleas), you

can get by with one of the Mogg focal reducers, which simply screw

into the 1 1/4" adapter in front of the camera.  The  Point Greys and

some of the Imaging Source cameras can take up to 60 minute exposures.

I haven't gone that long with mine, but I have gone up to 15 minutes

with decent results.  Mostly, I keep it below about 5 minutes, and

stack "videos" of such frames, all within Astro IIDC.

Thank you Tim, just the kind of info I was looking for.
