When I boot up the program without the Camera attached, the only menu

choices are functional.

That is what happens when you license for a camera.

I was under the impression that the program could be used WITHOUT the

camera attached, but that does not seem to be the case...am I doing

something wrong?

Nope. What it's doing is the correct thing.

Is what I am seeing because I registered the Camera and not the Laptop?

Yes, that's correct.

I really want to be able to use the program without the Camera

attached when I want to process files at my leisure.

You don't need to have the camera attached all the time, just the first time Astro IIDC is launched, per session.

So:

1) Attach camera to Laptop

2) Launch Astro IIDC

3) Close the Camera Controls Window

4) Unplug camera

5) Process all you want - just don't Quit Astro IIDC.

So as long as you don't Quit Astro IIDC after it's been registered, the registration will still be valid.

Hope That Helps..
