Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Quicktime 7.2.0 does not Like My Astro IIDC .mov files

Guys;

This problem is covered in our FAQ on the web site, in the read me first and in the manual. I copied and pasted this from the Astro IIDC Web site FAQ :

I just recorded a color movie and when I try and play the movie in QuickTime Player, I get a warning about a codec being missing and it does not play. Why??

There are two possible reasons for this happening. You may not have installed our Bayer Codec to play back the color movies your recorded. Double click on the "Astro_IIDC_Installer30200.dmg" and then double click on the "ASC_Bayer_Installer23.pkg" to install the codec. If you have installed the codec and you are using an x86 MacIntel, then you need to enable "Rosetta" emulation for the QuickTime Player (see this link for details).

The "this link" URL above refers to:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303120.

This applies to any x86 native or Universal application.

Apple web site with different Codecs on it (e.g.Divx, Autodesk, etc)?

So, if Quicktime won't play back the .mov, what will? Is there a

Quicktime setting, or some Codec I need?

Thanks,
