Subject: Blame lack of sleep on the cat!
Hi folks,
The other night my cat woke me up about 1:30 am to come in. While I was up I stepped out on the deck to peer at the sky, WOW it looked really great! I got dress and stepped into the observatory and decided to give the horse a try. Since last year I had my 350D modified by Hap, purchased a WO 0.8 reducer/flattener and a Astronomik CLS Filter.
Anyhow here is the particulars....
Exposure 25 300-sec frames with 20 darks and flats.
Camera Canon Hap modified 350D
Optics Orion 80ED @ f/7.5 (prime focus) piggybacked on Meade SN-6,
used Meade as guide scope.
Astronomik CLS Filter
Mount Meade LXD75
Software Nebulosity for image capture, Astro IIDC for guiding,
Nebulosity for image stacking, and final processing in Adobe
Photoshop CS
