Thanks for the heads-up Milton.  I was ready to load Leopard on my laptop but will now

wait.

Hi Folks;

I've had my second confirmation and Leopard is officially incompatible

with Astro IIDC.

It looks like Apple mucked up something really badly in FireWire for

x86 Intel in Rosetta emulation and possibly Firewire for PowerPC too.

I've also seen quite a few of reports of other drivers and

applications that touch hardware no longer work either (i.e SCSII

cards, Audio Cards, Fire Audio devices etc. etc.).

And the really bad news is that I will not receive my copy of Leopard

until at least November 25th, so no quick fix is on the horizon.

If you want to use Astro IIDC don't install Leopard. And if you have

done this, then you'll have to re-install  OSX 10.4, 10.3 or 10.2 to

use it.

Sorry, but Apple looks like it really dropped the ball here as my

original code bases still runs fine under OSX 10.2 to 10.4 - so they

screwed it all up in 10.5.
