Subject: Re: IMaging Source Firmware Update for Mac
Hi Milton,
well, I did as you suggested, but to no avail. No intensity change.
However, and here is the odd part - I DO get an image if I use BTV 6.0 b1 and Camspinner
software?!?
Is it possible that these systems [and their software/codecs] are interfering with the
astro_iidc software?
cheerio,
Mike

Dear Mike;
Is the image in the preview window still completely white or does it
change intensity as you adjust the Brightness and / or Exposure
slider? Or if you cover the camera's front part where the CCD is,
does the image brightness change?
If it doesn't turn dark or black when you set the exposure to < 1
millisecond, then the firmware update either didn't work or they gave
you the wrong firmware.
If it does change intensity, then it should be okay and you can
register it.
Hope That Helps..

Hi Milton,
I managed to get the firmwre update and installed it [I think!].
Now, when I run astro_iidc,
I ge the video window with the text "demo version" bouncing all
over the screen, but no
actual image of anything. Should I be seeing an image?
Is this OK. ?
I am hoping that this signifies that the camera and software is now
working and thatall I
need do now is reigster the software.
