Very Nice, thanks for sharing.


It's interesting to see that most of the craters in that general area all have flat filled in bottoms with few central peaks, if they exceed a certain diameter. I wonder if that's ejecta from one of the major mare impacts? Also it's cool to note the crater wall slum on the top (south)  right end of Schiller spilling out across the floor towards those floor peaks.

This image was prepared with the Alpha version of Astro IIDC 4.0  

which continues to evolve into a very powerful platform for planetary  

image processing on the Mac platform. Approximately 180 frames were  

selected (using separate frame sets for each quadrant of the image)  

and stacked using multiple alignment points. The stacks were  

sharpened in Astro IIDC with final assembly and processing in Adobe  

Photoshop CS3.


Taken with my 10" mak/cassegrain and DMK 41AF02 camera with a green  

filter.
